Filipino in the Grand Finals of Sears Chef Challenge 2010

A Filipino chef is a heartbeat away from becoming the Sears Chef Challenge Champion of 2010.
Chef Alex Dino is only one of two finalists after 24 chefs from 4 cities in America battled it out for cooking supremacy.

Chefs Dino and Mark Maassen of Le Cordon Bleu in Chicago will battle it out for the top prize for the Sears Chef Challenge Championship in November.

“I can assure one thing–that I am not just representing my charity, not just myself. I’m representing the Philippines,” said Chef Dino.

Fresh from his victory from the semi rounds in Chicago, Chef Dino came back to New York to launch his new book, Modern Tofu.

Chef Alex Dino is an award winning chef and the owner of Sachet d’ Epices Catering.
The Food Bank of Central New York is Chef Alex Dino’s selected charity. Throughout the competition (quarter-finals, semi-finals, and finals), there are prizes for the Chefs, their selected food charity and at-home contestants.
