Laguna PPO Invites Citizens to Facebook

The Laguna Police Provincial Office (PPO) announced yesterday the creation of a Facebook Account in which citizens could upload photos and amateur videos of any crimes committed by law enforcers and government officials.

Senior Superintendent Gilberto Cruz, PPO director, said he created this account to provide a window for people to make their complaints about abusive authorities known to the public.

Cruz said these images and videos captured by regular citizens can be used in police investigations of crime and illegal activities within the ranks of the police.

Civilians can send a private message identifying themselves to police with the guarantee that identities will be
kept a secret for their security.

“If there are photos or videos uploaded happened not in Laguna, We will just collect them and endorse it to the proper authorities in their jurisdiction,” Cruz said.

In any account of the Facebook, just type “” in the search box and the Facebook Account page would appear.
