Sen. Legarda distributes multi cabs to Calabarzon LGUs

The Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) Calabarzon led by regional director Josefina E. Castilla-Go facilitated recently the distribution of 49 multi cabs from the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) of Senator Loren Legarda.

Senator Legarda personally turned over the vehicles to the local executives of Batangas, Cavite and Laguna in a ceremony held at the regional office of the DILG at the FTI Complex in Taguig City on Dec. 16, 2010.

The province of Laguna received most of the vehicles with 31 units for distribution to the following municipalities: one unit each for the provincial government, Alaminos, Bay, Cabuyao, Calauan, Cavinti, Famy, Kalayaan, Liliw, Los Baños, Luisiana, Lumban, Mabitac, Magdalena, Majayjay, Nagcarlan, Pagsanjan, Pakil, Pangil, Pila, Rizal, , Sta. Cruz, Sta. Maria, Siniloan, Victoria, San Pablo City, and Sta. Rosa City while two units each for Calamba City, Paete, San Pedro, and Binan City.

In Batangas, the municipalities of San Juan, San Luis, San Nicolas, San Pascual, Sta. Teresita, Sto. Tomas, Taysan, Tingloy and the cities of Lipa, Batangas and Tanauan will receive one unit each.
Lastly, the province of Cavite received three units for the town Amadeo and the cities of Trece Martires and Cavite.

The LGU-beneficiaries of multi cabs were pre-identified by the Office of Sen. Legarda.
Sen. Legarda said that in the future, the rest of the LGUs of CALABARZON would also be provided with multi cabs.

In a short message, Sen. Legarda said the distribution of multi cabs endeavors in providing vehicular support to various LGUs for the use in the performance of their official functions and duties and other activities such as the maintenance of peace and order in their locality and mobility during emergencies and disasters.
