Laguna’s most wanted falls in Ecija

After more than 12 years in hiding, Laguna’s most wanted felon finally fell into the hands of the police during a sting operation in Guimba, Nueva Ecija yesterday.

Provincial police director Senior Supt. Roberto L. Aliggayu identified the suspect as Darwin Anoyo, 59, of San Pablo City, Laguna, who carries a P75,000 bounty for his arrest.

Anoyo, who has been long wanted for the murder of Delia Anoyo, his sister-in-law, in San Pablo, on Dec. 28, 1998, was collared by members of the Muñoz police led by Supt. Jonathan Cabal.
The suspect hid in cousin’s house in Guimba after killing his sister-in-law.
Cabal said he led surveillance operations against the suspect following a tip from a barangay informant. Steve A. Gosuico
