By early next year, Laguna would have been the first province in Southern Tagalog blessed with four SM supermalls.

This after SM Prime Holding president Hans Sy and Gov. E. R. Ejercito on Monday reached an agreement to establish the fourth SM supermall in the fourth district of the province, particularly in the town Pagsanjan.

Gov. Ejercito said the fourth SM supermarket will be built early next year in Pagsanjan, known as the tourist capital of the province.

Ejercito said the SM supermall will be built on a four-hectare lot in Pagsanjan because of its highly popular activity called “shooting the rapids at Pagsanjan Falls.

With an SM supermall in Pagsanjan, foreign and local tourists will be assured of procuring their needs while visiting the province’s tourist capital, the governor said.

Todate, Laguna has three existing SM supermalls, the first in Sta. Rosa City in the first district; the second located in Calamba City in the second district; and the third one in San Pablo City. (PNA)
